This scammer contacted me back in May 2005 and had written to me for the past 2 months. Then earlier this month, this scammer asked me for either $200 or $300 for a visa.
Like a fool because I believed everything she told me in her emails and because i thought I had fallen in love, I sent her $300 so she could buy (like she claimed)a six month visa. After I had sent her the money, a few days later, this scammer asked me for more money, another $1280 because she claimed she said she needed to get a passport, get a health check certificate, insurance, and air faretickets. When i told "leysan" that I did not have that type of money and requested she help out, she stopped writing to me. Then I saw this page and read the article:
U.S. Embassy on Russian Internet Dating Scams and realized I was another unfortunate victim of this crime. This scammer contacted me
using a new nic:
leysan_love@rambler.ru
The scammer also used various different pictures of this woman.
The scammer described her as 27 years old, 5'7, 125lbs, blonde hair and blue eyes. She claimed she lived in the Russian city of Volzhsk. Please beware of this scammer.
